dtf

Theme:
The devious Ruby Hymen has betrayed the Drag Task Force and has stolen all of their powers.
The leader of the DTF, Flo Mingo, has selected you and your team to help the DTF infiltrate Ruby’s secret lair. You must find a way to stop Ruby and help the members of the DTF get their powers back!

What a fun theme! The setting for DTF was a Drag Queen’s dressing room, so it had everything you would expect, make up, wigs, shows, boas… The LOT and it was decorated very well! It came across with just the right amount of Charisma Uniquness Nerve and Talent.
The added bonus of controlling the Flobot was great, this gave a distinct character to the room and helped create an immersive atmosphere through the boundries of zoom and telescape.
Telescape is an excellent programme that supports online games, and when used to good effect it can meld the zoom feed to the information delivered to create a cohesive experience.

Game Play:
A linear game that focused on problem solving, searching, logic and code-breaking puzzles.
Whilst the puzzles themselves were not of the hardest standard, getting to them was tricky, there was a certain amount of play within the interactivity with FloBot that leant to easily having a LOT of fun and getting distracted and loosing track of time.
This interactivity though is what made the game. With FloBot following our directions to the letter, but giving us enough sassy pants to keep us well entertained.
The puzzles themselves (when we finally got around to them)  were beautifully logical, and well on theme. There is a fair whack of reading in DTF, I would suggest taking note of it. Not only to give more story, but it will help a lot with the puzzles and flow of the room.
Ah-ha moments came nice and freely and where exciting when they happened.
The flow was a little slow to start off with, due to the first part of the game being quite interactive and immersive and not so much puzzley, so to feel your way round FlorBot can be a little…. sticky. However, once we cracked open the more puzzley side of the game the flow was exceptional.
Signposting was minimal, and it really was up to the players to make all the connections and guide FloBot to the right places, at the right times. This however wasn’t detrimental to the game.
A really, really enjoyable game that got us laughing, singing and most importantly having a lot of fun, the tone was spot on to the Drag theme.

Clue System:
FloBot delivered us nudges when requested

Game Host:
FloBot was our esteemed host for our journey into the world of the DTF, and fabulous she was, keeping character at all times!

Connection:
Stable and clear all the way through with no problems.

Did we escape?
Yes, with about 2 minutes to spare, being the 4th EVER team to do so!
