Theme:
“A brand new unique experience at The Panic Room. Ten Fathoms Deep is a VS room, two teams of 2-5 people can face off against each other.

The hull is about to give in, the safety glass about to crack. Two rival crews but only one emergency escape pod remails. Two identical rooms, the ultimate competitive VS experience that you have all been asking for. Can your crew get to the submarines last remaining escape pod and reach the surface? Or will you drown as the other crew seals their victory and your fate?”

We did TFD as a pair, like hell were Ian and I going up against each other, it would have ended in divorce, we are THAT competetive… and probably a lock in for both of us!

The theming was really cool, an immersive set that even had good flooring! The decoration was simple, and clean and didn’t distract from the game at all, yet still created an excellen sense of immersion and story!
A large, well lit space that would easily take the maximum of 5 players on either side.

Game Play:
An open game for the most part, that had a lovely mix of puzzles, logic, word, codebreaking, observation, physical, searching.
A real eclectic mix, each puzzle was innovitive in its excecution and had fun, clear and logical ah-ha moments.
The flow was excellent and for the most part we never stopped, with subtle in theme signposting driving the game forward and keeping the pace throughout.
Add onto that an exciting finale, which was a tonne of fun and Ten Fathoms Deep is a solid game that I can imagine being a tonne of fun when 2 teams are battling for that 1 escape pod! (You could hear, but not see the other team!)
A great game for any size team, and if you’re feeling brave… do it 1v1!
