I did something a little bit different this time, I played with 4 other people!! (usually I only play with my fiancee!) It was very different to play with friends, but still a lot of fun!

Theme:
“You arrive at an unknown location for a once in a lifetime opportunity; a conference held by the critically acclaimed, Dr. Andrews. His work is widely known throughout the research circles, but he has remained hidden in the shadows for years. What you don’t know, is that Dr. Andrews has gone mad, creating a string of tests that have gone disastrously wrong. He has brought you here for his final experiment. You have one hour to escape his maze of tricks and games, before a deadly virus kills you all.”

Think of saw…. think of being captive in a small room while the rest of your team has to break you out before you can THINK about getting out… this is a dark, clinical and bare room which fits the theme perfectly. Medical instruments are about, and a dentists chair sits looming over the players…. scary stuff! (I really, really liked this theme!)

Game Play:
I felt that by being the captured victim I missed out a lot of the initial puzzles in this room, and I personally didn’t really get into the flow of the room as easily as I normally do. However, the room was still enjoyable, it had some great association puzzles and lateral thinking puzzles too, a good all round mix for bigger teams.

Clue System:
Clues are delivered through a screen system, with a noise appropiate to the game.

Game Host:
Hints were delivered sparingly, but at the perfect times!

Did we escape?
Yes! With something crazy like 18 minutes left! It felt like we got out VERY fast!
