The Panic Room – Revoloucion Ole. Game Date: 21/08/2018. Team – Amy & Ian
“You stormed the President’s palace. El Presidente has fled but will be back with reinforcements – in one hour. There are riots in the streets, demanding immediate reforms. Can you manage to win over the most influential people to your side, before the president returns? If not, you will be kicked out of the palace and arrested faster than you can say “Ay Caramba!”
Now it is up to you to seize power!
A revolutionary game design that allows you to vote on reforms and improve popularity. Are you able to draw all the influence groups on your side before El Presidente comes back with reinforcements? The clock is ticking…”
Revoloucion is a beautiful looking room that gives off the luxury of the Presidents Palace, it also smelled nice… I couldn’t put my finger on the smell, but it was oh so pleasent and made the space an even nicer to be for the hour!
A very cleanly decorated space, with a reason for everything in the room, but still creating a beliveable living space. There was a lovely feeling in the set that subtley reinforced the fact that we were revoloutionary members and weren’t supposed to be in the presidents office!
The room was large, and well lit. 8 players will have no problems with space (Although I’d love to watch the arguments in an 8 player game due to the game play!)
A linear game that turns escape game on their head… Revoloucion sees you having to win over the 7 factions of the government and you do so by…. well we don’t want too many spoilers, as part of the FUN of revoloucion is learning the game play!
The game pushes you through, so much so that the entire game feels like the last 2 minutes of any escape room. The whole hour is tense, fast paced and exciting!
Puzzles are so much the focus here, yet a keen eye for detail is imperitive. There were still a few really excellent puzzles, logic, aural, olfactorily and codebreaking. All exemplery in their logic and with brilliant, shining ah-ha moments.
The real high point of Revoloucion is that it is intelligent, it’s a smart game, and cracking the game play and seeing the factions getting on your side doesn’t fail to make you feel smart too! I’ve not come out a game feeling so smug and self-satisfyied for completing it in a long time!
A perfect (yet possibly divisive) game for enthusiasts as it really turns the escape game on its head (we had a small panic at the start of the game where we felt like we just didn’t know what to do!)
Newbies… could be interesting as a new team would not have many pre-conecptions on how escaping works so would really enjoy it!
It’s just a MUST play game!

Laurence again was our game host and ran our game perfectly again (even after putting the fear of GOD into us before the game!)
Did we escape?
